If You Don’t Like Caitlin Clark, Then You Don’t Like Basketball: A Breakdown of the Iowa Star Player’s Stats

Caitlin Clark is one of the most exciting basketball players to watch right now. For those lucky enough to see her incredible run in the NCAA Basketball March Madness run, they witnessed one of the most historic runs a college player has ever seen. 

Caitlin Clark is a 21-year-old basketball player who plays for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Her name was recognized by many as early as high school where her skill set her above and beyond her peers. At Iowa, she continued to build her legacy winning the Associated Press Player of the Year. But it wasn’t until this past March Madness tournament that she was thrust into the national spotlight.

During the tournament, her scoring reached incredible heights, and with her 191 points total, she broke the record for total points in any single tournament March Madness run, men’s or women’s. She also managed to pass out 60 assists, breaking the record for total assists in any women’s single tournament. In totality, her run was incredible, unfortunately falling short of the championship; however, to get there she willed Iowa with back-to-back 40 point games, a first in the history of the women’s tournament. She even managed a 40 point triple double in one of them, showing that scoring, although out of this world, is not her entire game. What is at the pinnacle of her game is her 3-point shooting. She can shoot from anywhere, off the dribble, while running, and more. More often than not, she will make the shot. The only way to do it justice is to see it for yourself—and you should. Caitlin Clark is not yet eligible foe the WNBA, so she’ll be at Iowa for one more year—so make sure to tune in.
