On Monday Apr. 18, EAC Barnyard Entertainment released the 2016 Spring Weekend lineup, which includes male rapper Action Bronson. Following the announcement, Trinity students created a petition on Change.org titled “Remove Action Bronson from Trinity College’s Spring Weekend Concert.”
By 11:45 p.m. Tuesday Apr. 19, the petition had garnered 976 signatures. The petition is to be delivered to: Dean of Campus Life and Vice President for Student Affairs Joseph DiChristina,
Dean of Students Christopher Card, Senior Associate Dean of Students Dr. Ann E. Reuman, Associate Dean of Students Robert Lukaskiewicz, Director of Student Activities, Involvement & Leadership (S.A.I.L.) Laura Whittemore, Title IX Coordinator Timothy Dunn, Director of the Women & Gender Resource Action Center (WGRAC) Laura Lockwood, Program Coordinator for the Women & Gender Resource Action Center (WGRAC) Abdul Staten, and President of EAC Barnyard Rose Carroll.
Those who would like to hear more about the planning process for this year’s Spring Weekend and to voice concerns or ask questions are invited to attend a discussion this Thursday, Apr. 21 from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. in McCook Auditorium.
