Hartford will become Gag City this upcoming (Pink) Friday, April 5, when Nicki Minaj is expected to perform at the XL Center as part of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. However, sources have recently informed the Liepod of a shocking new development: Minaj’s performance this Friday will be moved from the arena to none other than Trinity’s own LSC Quad.
Despite the recency of this news, the performance’s move has been in the works for quite some time. The LSC Quad has been a construction site since the beginning of this academic year, and it seemed that only God knew what on earth the construction workers have been trying to accomplish there. Well, if God is Trinidaian rapstress Onika Tanya Maraj, she did, in fact, know this whole time: the LSC Quad is set to become her stage for the performance.
A few reasons motivated the Queen from Queens to move her show to Trinity, primarily a noticeable decline in Barbism on campus. Recently, the library has painted over the walls in its study rooms that students used to write on with dry erase markers. One message (pictured) that has since been painted over quoted Minaj’s famous and all-too-applicable mantra: “BARBZ STAY IN SKOOL.” Minaj hopes to encourage continued academic motivation among Bantam Barbs by bringing her show directly to Trinity.
To commemorate Minaj’s arrival on campus, the Chapel lights will glow pink on the night of the performance. Minaj also encourages any and all students with LED light strips in their dorms to set them to pink. In addition, she urges any and all students who do not have LED light strips to purchase them for their dorms and then set them to pink.
