Ideas and News Tips for the Tripod?

The Tripod welcomes story ideas and news tips via our online form here or sent directly to tripod@trincoll.edu. Please note that you are not required to identify yourself in the form, but giving us your contact information will make it more likely that we will be able to pursue a story based on your tip. Identifying yourself to us does not necessarily mean that we will make your identity public, if you have good reason to be an anonymous source.

A strong tip is clear, detailed, and includes tangible evidence to support your claim. A strong tip will have immediate (or, in some cases, eventual), newsworthy relevance to the Trinity community in some way.

Example of a bad tip: I think my roommate is stealing my pens.

Example of a good tip: I am attaching a screenshot of an email which proves that my professor is violating a college policy.

If you want us to follow-up with you, you must provide an email address.

We highly encourage everyday story ideas from our community. Due to the Tripod‘s status as a student organization, we naturally have blind spots in the larger Trinity community. Whether you are a student who is planning an upcoming on-campus event, a professor with an upcoming book launch, or an alumnus who finds a classmate’s business inspiring, we would love to hear from you. Email us with details.
