Abolish the Title IX Office: It’s Not That Deep!

As a third year senior, I’ve been hearing for the better part of a decade about how dangerous fraternities are to campus culture. However, I would say Trinity has a much more obvious and dire scourge on its hands: the Title IX office!

First of all, they are literally always busting up our fun. I have to go to their stupid training sessions twice a semester — don’t they know I have to go to Chipotle with my boys? I love my brothers. A lot. Like, a LOT. The Title IX office has shown time and time again that they DON’T love my brothers, which is like, not cool bro.

Honestly, the whole department is too woke. Everyone is so soft nowadays. What they talk about in those “safety presentations” is nothing compared to what I had to do in that basement when I was a pledge. If you ask me, unless the Title IX office is giving us free sweatshirts, I don’t really see how they serve our campus in any sustainable way. They use big made up nonsense words like “alla gay shuns” and “a salt”.

As a proud American as well, I think Title IX as a whole is a waste of the tax dollars that my mom and dad aren’t paying. If the school simply abolished the department, we would have  money for more important and pressing matters, like building a new athletic center and real eggs for the omelette bar.

We live in a day and age where it seems like everything gets blown out of proportion. I understand that Titles and Nining are a problem on some other college campuses, but truthfully, none of my boys would ever (admit to) do(ing) anything like that. Thus, I don’t see an issue. Sometimes, we all just need to take a step back and wonder if it’s really that deep.
