On March 4, The College announced it is building a new hub for creativity and entrepreneurship thanks to a lead gift from alumna Elizabeth Elting ’87. The Elizabeth Elting Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is set to open in the fall of 2027 on Vernon Street next to the Cornelia Center. It will offer classrooms, conference spaces, student accelerator rooms and event areas designed to foster collaboration and hands-on learning. The center will expand Trinity’s entrepreneurship programs, and will connect students, faculty, alumni and the Hartford community. Elting hopes that it will inspire students of all majors to take risks, innovate, and turn ideas into real-world impact. The Tripod will continue its coverage on the entrepreneurship center in our next edition.
