The Trinity Men’s Hockey Team have officially been named the 2024 NESCAC champions. The Bantams defeated Tufts in a 4-0 shutout, their sixth shutout this season. A handful of players have earned awards such as First and Second Team All-Conference, Defensive Player of the Year and Player of the Year. To honor their awards this season, the recipients each gave the Tripod a quote reflecting on their success.

Goalkeeper #39, Devon Bobak ’26: Player of the Year, First Team All-Conference

“Firstly, I am really honored to be acknowledged as the Player of the Year, it’s a huge milestone in my hockey career and it has been a privilege to be a part of this team that’s helped me accomplish such a great feat. This year as a whole has been pretty one of a kind, we have been working day in and day out since September for each other and Trinity! It’s been a very special season and I hope we have a great finish at the national tournament!”

Defenseman #24, Ned Blanchard ’24: Defensive Player of the Year, First Team All-Conference

“It’s a huge honor to receive this award, especially with how strong our league was this year. It’s been an incredible year thus far, we have a culture on our team that has carried us a really long way, and hopefully will continue to keep us going over the next few weeks. We have a great group of returning guys with a ton of experience paired with a first-year class that has been outstanding. It’s been a ton of fun so far and has just been a huge privilege to be able to come to the rink with this group everyday, and we are looking to play our best month of hockey yet in the month of March. It’s been super gratifying seeing all the hard work and ups and downs over the past few years that has gotten us to this point, and hopefully we can take advantage of a great opportunity!”

Forward #27 Richard Boysen ’25: First Team All-Conference

*Boysen also scored a hat trick this past Sunday.

“I was so glad to see so many of our guys get recognized for their great season this year and I was blessed to be a part of it. We have a great team and there are a lot of guys that have played well and deserve to be recognized as well.”

Defenseman #20 John Campomenosi ’24: First Team All-Conference

“I’m very grateful and honored that I was recognized for this award. None of my individual successes have come because of me, they come because of the people that are around me on a daily basis. The amount of support, passion and love for each other and for the game that is displayed within our team is what really should be getting recognized. I’m so thankful to be a part of this team and program and would never be in this position if it weren’t for my teammates and the Trinity community so I would just like to say thank you to them.”

Forward #21 Kyle Tomaso ’24: Second Team All-Conference

“Receiving the Second Team award is a reflection of the collective effort and dedication of our team. It showcases the teamwork, perseverance and unity that have been the cornerstone of our success this season. This recognition is not just for me, but for every member of our team who has contributed to our achievements.”
